Didn't mean it like that , i meant that song in particular. Of course the dog is german but i thought it was a random song that actually exists. But its more likely the author of this story just used some translating app to translate the wanted song lyric.

I actually reached out to the artist on Twitter and offered to help them translate it to English. They rather reluctantly said yes, but never contacted me further, so I dunno. As for the Chinese version, I don't think I can translate it well because of the way the text bubbles were drawn (also I don't speak Chinese so I'd rely on Google Translate even more). They're semi-transparent over the comic instead of white which is a huge pain to clean up. I can just cover it with solid colour but that'd ruin the comic aesthetics. If someone had the clean version, I'd translate.

Not a bad translation. I had actually started one myself, so I guess you beat me to it in posting (haha).

One note, however, is that in the original Japanese version, the author has the Shepherd finish a sentence with like the last kana being in katakana, and I took this to be indicative of his foreign accent, but I didn't really know how to get that across other than possibly having really stillted prose, like "Yu don't really haf ze motivashon" versus "You don't really have the motivation" way of writing (although, this is kind of how it looks in Japanese). Obviously, you didn't go that route. Either way, thanks for the translation.

Yeah I noticed that too, and at first I also thought that since the shepherd is an illegal immigrant, he'd most likely speak with an accent. The last kana of his speeches could be an indication, but I wasn't sure how to convey that to English. However, his speeches are correct Japanese. Some even uses very colloquial Japanese like wakannee instead of wakaranai which suggest that he most likely speaks very well. I'd imagine that it would be easier if he spoke with wrong word order in some lines (because German and Japanese have different word order) or more pauses to suggest that he might have an accent.

But I must admit that I only speak basic Japanese. Thanks for pointing out about his accent!
