Eastern furries in general: "I am a human, and this is my character. I am not this character, there is a distinction."
Western furries in general: "This is my fursona, an anthropomorphic representation of myself. This character is pretty much me"
There's already a fundamental difference right here. Which is why eastern (especially Japanese) furries tend to not understand why western furs make such a huge fuss about furry drawings
"It's a western thing" "I'm glad we don't have that kind of drama here" I hear them say, in response to me sharing them western furry shenanigans
Also, English isn't my first language, so forgive my functionally flawed phrasing
