If by struggle ya mean self-discovery then I'm down for it, but depending on how the comic goes hopefully it doesn't end up a shit storm here.
Personally hoping it doesn't devolve into the "I was gay all along and just in denial even though I have a fucking GF lol fuck her" like these comics usually go, that's frustrating as hell for those actually looking for content around a "bi"curious character.

Yeah, that is what I meant, but self-discovery is a better word for it.
I agree that the gay fantasy of "The straight guy who fucks girls 24/7 is secretly in the closet and needs You to push him out of his shell so he can be openly gay and in love with you as he was always meant to be." is really cringe, and often really fucked up, but so are most romantic fantasies, gay or straight.

There were a lot of people in the comment sections on Patreon, voicing their concern over this exact issue. That they are Bi, and want to see a good representation/tasteful handling of this character. Even concerns over his girlfriend were voiced. To which Sigma replied that he wants to do his best to handle this setup with care. So, finger's crossed I guess!

Like others said, it was heavily implied that she was the one who orchestrated the whole meeting, or gave that rabbit a green light to push Mike if the situation presents itself. I agree that the story should not be overly complicated. Jackaloo comic is both overly complicated as well as overdramatic. Needless drama breeds needless drama and the story that started with quite the erotic setup devolved into a thinly veiled social commentary with the occasional NSFW imagery thrown in. Which I very much doubt will be the case here, if the previous comics are anything to go by.

Yes that much is obvious. But that is why this is supposed to be a comic about bisexuality. That attraction to men does not erase attraction for women. If he does end up with Diamond, it might as well be another "I was in the closet the whole time!" story. Not to mention that him wanting the horsecock treatment does not mean he should or has to leave his girlfriend. Speaking of her, from all we know he is in relationship with her because he genuinely likes her. So unless Sigma pulls a Phan Phan and creates some matriarchal dystopia setting, their relationship should be healthy. And given that apparently she is in favour of him getting it on with men, their relationship does not stand in the way of him enjoying Diamond's company.

I indeed remember the GF being cheeky about setting him up with getting down with the guys during the party so her being the push to get him out of his shell is neat. It means that Mikey can get out of the closet about his bisexuality and she's cool with him fooling around, especially since he does still love and care for her if his guilt about her text in the bathroom scene in the first comic is any indication. Maybe they have an open relationship thing going. It's not clear but if she set it up for him to at least "Have fun with the guys" she's definitely fine with the relationship being sexual outside of just them and she's definitely aware that he has some bisexual tendencies suppressed.
And yeah it'd be sucky and cruel if said girlfriend was just thrown to the side after Mikey gets more comfortable with the idea of liking other men too. I get this is the gay board but honestly if anyone regardless of their sexuality thinks it's okay for someone (be it fiction or not) to just throw away their partners just because they were "enlightened by the penis/vagina" that'd be a pretty dick move. :P

In fact a polyam or open relations thing with Diamond and Mikey being in the middle of it with him and his GF would be an awesome (even if idealistic) end-game, he gets to be with the woman he loves AND the hot hunky horse who's been on his mind since the strip club night. He did not explain why, or at least not to my knowledge, but he did say that this comic is supposed to about Mikey coming in terms with and exploring his bisexuality. So I would assume that the conflict is to be a mental one at this point. On top of that, a sexual encounter that causes or will cause conflict already happened in the first comic.

My guess would be that Mikey can't get the encounter at Stable out of his head, so he will most likely seek that thrill again, and since he has to deal with his GF (who unbeknownst to him was probably the one who set him up in the first place) and the guilt of cheating on her, with a man on top of that, it will cause some pretty interesting internal conflict.

Then again, it might be better if Sigma keeps things simple. While drama is interesting, melodrama is a poison. And I would not like to see Sigma's talents be wasted on something in the style of Internship.

If I had to guess, Sigma is not the type of artist who enjoys angsty shit, so the characters will most likely have their cake and eat it too.

Not the guy, but I would say that Mikey is feeling down both because of the guilt of cheating on his GF, and figuring out his newfound desires and sexuality.

Obviously we know that he was set up, probably because she could feel that he was into men before even he did (consciously), but he doesn't. So while she isn't mad at all, from his POV he did something really horrible to their relationship.

What I will say doesn't change the fact that he cheated but let's not forget that
1. As you guys already mentioned it was all set up by his gf.

The fact that the last update was from Jan 30th for this comic does not bode well. There's plenty of updates for the pinups and single pieces as well the daki for diamond though.


Honestly they should've just made it a mini comic like 6-7 or even 10 pages. Unless Sigma plans on making it a 20-25 page comic with more then one or 2 pages a month, we're gonna be waiting for quite awhile to see more updates and some action.

I supported him on Patreon for years but I eventually stopped, and that's the reason why. His progress on comics is just too slow.

He used to post two pages a month most months, but now he only ever posts one, and I think he missed a month entirely not long ago. Anything he does will take years to complete at that pace.

The most frustrating part for me is knowing that he can and DOES produce these pages quickly when he actually works on them. If you look at his post history, he'll usually post the inks for comic pages on like, the 28th of the month. He'll follow a day or so later with flats, and on the last day of the month he'll post the page.

I have seen times where he will do an entire page, start to finish, in one day. I'm not saying he should be cranking out a dozen pages a month and working constantly, but from what I have seen he is producing far, FAR less than he could be. I hate using the word, but for him to only be putting out one page a month is lazy.

Unfortunately they seem to have written themselves into a corner. You’ve got the girlfriend involved, so you have to deal with that plot line. Easiest solution is to make her in in the initial browning, and this is a bi comic where Diamond fuggs them both. But I don’t think anyone wants to see any hetero stuff, we wanna see Mike get pounded!
My dream direction for this comic is they go for coffee, Mike explains he can’t stop thinking about that night at the stable, so Diamond suggest they try and “get it out of his system” Then it’s a montage of them screwing all day and night. I'm more than ok with it going the porn route. I expected that they would bang 95%. In fact, I usually prefer comics that are just smut, and don't try to be some drama like The Internship. I just wish the the dialogue felt more natural or better paced. I think the Heavy Lifting did that really well, and this comic as well at first. Mike started to act way more juvenile and cartoony after he arrived at the Saddle. He was a bit silly in MTBMW as well, but Now it's a bit over the top imo. Kevin/Diamond behaved quite realistically in the last page, but now he acts like chaperoning confused straight, or closeted guys is all he does. I just think that this page is a drop in quality from what I learned to expect from Sigma. That's all I'm saying.

I think I finally understand what page 12 meant. Diamond was not talking about Mike being confused straight guy coming out of the closet... Diamond thought that Mike has just got a bad case of horse fever after taking Diamond for the first time!

The dialogue in the MTBMW doesn't really imply that Mike is outright straight when dealing with Diamond, nor is it ever implied that he is fully on the whole scheme between Liz and TJ. So as far as he knows, a friend (TJ) asked him to do him a solid and have some fun with this shy gay bottom puppy. Now that puppy is back, all star-struck and enamored with him. So reasonably he could get that Mike was never fucked buy a guy this hung or handsome. Thus the stalker-ish behaviour. And since The Stable is a bar specifically themed around horses, there might be this whole thing in this setting about fetishization of some species that creates a market for establishments such as The Stable to tap into. So it makes all the more sense that patrons of Stable such as Mike was, would have some interest in horses specifically.

The real issue is that the story doesn't acknowledge any of what she may or may not have done. I'm not sure why Sigma is writing this way, but from the framing that he's making, our helpless dalmatian is outright cheating on his girlfriend from HIS point of view. That's where we started with this, and nothing that has happened in the hour or so since he woke up this morning has changed that fact.

So he's in this awkward position of knowingly cheating on someone who may have orchestrated his coming out. And so there's this tension in the story that can't be resolved because Sigma chose to not resolve it. When it would have been easy enough for her to just admit to what happened and tell him to go and see the horse, or some other guy.

There's also this really strange tension with the fact that the dalmatian doesn't seem to be too bright. He walked up to some stranger he had sex with and just...expected them to be okay with him doing so.

You have to be very, very stupid to do that, because in context, this horse has every right to tell him to fuck out, if only because he has stalked him back to his job.

It's very creepy the more you think about the framing that's been set up.

Rambling incoming. But I really like this page in particular along the others with this scene mainly because Diamond straight up tells Mikey that he won't get with him again until he's honest towards his girlfriend.
He may have really enjoyed his time with Mikey, but he's not an asshole homewrecker, he was just doing his job. Even with the revelation that Mikey took so much of him as a virgin and finding it hot as fuck, he's still willing to reel it back and be serious about the situation when he needs to be.

So far, as sappy as I am about a porn comic, I really am relieved they have this talk, it's not only a nice verbal slap in the face to Mikey to not come back to the person he ended up (unintentionally) cheating on his lover with until things are settled, whether it be for good or bad in ending, but he probably needed it too.

With how guilty he is/was/whathaveyou about it, it's a nice little down-to-earth conversation that they both are really mature about, as opposed to going the very easy to do situation where Mikey instantly drops the GF for Diamond or keeps seeing Diamond behind her back for some bullshit reason. After the heat of the moment and time to take in what happened, of course he's gonna feel guilty afterwards, which is a very reasonable stance since he clearly loves Lizzy to have been with her up to this point, to the point of being a self-deprecating mess and thinking she has a right to hate him. Ouch.

I've said it before earlier up this thread and I will again; as someone who's bisexual myself, SigmaX is handling the topic of this self-discovery really well so far and it's still really nice to see, even with the bits of comedy and guilt thrown in here or there. And even if it ends in a MMF threesome, it's a better outcome than the others and one I'm genuinely preferably hoping for, even if it's idealistic to a degree sure, everything set up in the previous comic would fall apart if Lizzy actually set everything up and then wasn't okay with Mikey potentially catching bi feelings as a result. I just hope that, later in the comic, we have a happy dalmatian who gets to have both cakes and eat them in the end.

Ironically enough, it also makes the heroine in this tale come off as weak, indecisive and rather manipulative, even though it earlier showed her being strong, confident, curious and in control.

It's like she's changed characters all of a sudden. And in this sort of scenario, I don't get what the stakes are or what the conflict is.

I think a more reasonable outcome would have been for her to pay for Diamond to come over and let things play out as she suspected they would, and then confidently reassure the Dal that she's okay with things because she already knew and is accepting, thus allowing him to know that he can be happy with himself, while at the same time showing the audience who wears the pants in this relationship.

Zourik isn't really on that list. Juicing Patreons are creators that abuse the Patreon system by having long on going comics/projects with slow up loads where it takes years for 1 of their comics to just be completed.
Jackaloo, Meesh, and Sigma all do this. Their works for just 1 comic take years to be completed just so they gain the revenue from Patreon, hence juicing/milking. Anti-dev is also guilty of doing this but they have made progress in trying changing with the frequent pages of his new Rat comic being released regularly, instead of at snail milking pace like meesh, jackaloo and sigma. Zourik can push out 2 or more comics at a time and get those comics completed faster then Anti-dev, Sigma, Meesh, and jackaloo do combined and within a couple of months and that is while working on another project.
