It's heavily referenced, and maybe even the base is traced, but those are things artists do all the time to save time and energy for the embellishment and original elements that make a piece unique. This "isn't traced" in the sense that it isn't a carbon copy. It's far enough off that it's hard to even tell if he traced the base or is just that good at capturing a pose.

To be fair, when one uses a reference, one cites said reference. ans when your 'drawing" is dead on for a widely known and circulated photo where the over all pose and proportions are the same...

obviously the rhino not being human is a big hint that the piece wasn't 100% traced, but someone with a decent light table could both trace AND modifybso that there are unique elements
