No, you're not the only one, except I would prefer the Guy realizes the other Guy not worth it, cause lot of people on gay community hang on someone whp it's a cheater, closeted or simple does not want a relationship, with the hope of changing that person, and that only happens few times.

Yes, this could be one of few times, but as I pointed before, this still gives people the toxic message it's good hang on with someone with the hope that person changes. (It's one of the reasons why internship narrative becomes bad).
The good way would be protagonist realizes this Guy not worth it, and find someone else who really loves him or even stay single, there's nothing wrong with that.

And not, know this is porn, but tries to tell a story, so in the moment tries Tell a story it's not porn (like for example Zaush short comics that are just porn)

But that's my opinnion and everyone are free to agree or not.
