Yeah I agree with ^
There's nothing lazy about the time it takes to storyboard, pose 3D characters, light them correctly and spend the time rendering it out (and denoising), and that's assuming you don't need to make model or texture tweaks (like adding genitals) or god help you.
And then on top of that you need to toss the result into photoshop to actually turn the renders into a comic page, color correct it and then add "watercolor shader effect" and "random brush strokes", and then correct it AGAIN because those filters turn your images into shit unless you hold the reins REALLY hard.
There's nothing cheap or lazy about the effort that goes into this kind of art, 3D models or not.
