If you guys are serious about the style 'downgrade' it's very likely it's just to produce it faster for comic pacing than spend longer on one image. I see it as simpler line work and coloring but I still find it appeasing and expressive.

What you're noticing isn't a quality dip, it's a choice on his part to prioritize productivity / dependability. These last few pages have been coming out on a weekly basis, the earlier pages were coming out irregularly at around 2 week intervals or longer. My guess is that was his normal pace, and right now he's trying to hoof it to the sexy parts. I'm here for it. He's killing it with the backgrounds.

Don't think it's fair to compare different rendering styles as the same thing as art progression/regression. Doing all that detail takes a lot more work out of it, and also the old models for the characters were done with less flow and line of action traded for anatomical accuracy. The guy animates, he knows what works fast and telegraphs best.

If you meant the former, this is a low-intelligence coyote living in a trailer in the middle of bumfuck nowhere. What privilege are we really talking about? I'm relatively new to the weed world myself (within the last year), but from being in America all my life (35y); it kinda depends on the relationship. Definitely more likely as a first time thing (to strengthen said relationship between client/dealer and make sure the client isn't a cop), but some dealers are friends too, and weed is a generally social thing to do as well; it's generally more enjoyable with others.

But, a lot of people just buy and leave, as though they're buying from a store (you don't hang around in your grocery store making meals for example, but sometimes you do end up snacking a bit on items you are buying).

There's a massive jump between "weed dealer" and "meth lab", especially in 2026. Weed is seen as no big deal to most people. Hell it's even preferable (health-wise) to nicotine or alcohol and it tends to mellow people out. Compared to a meth lab, which I think if you've seen Breaking Bad, you should want nothing to do with the stuff.

As for the gay part, yeah that's the bigger problem since you're looking at ~9% LGBT (in the US), so it's more like flipping that coin 3 times and you getting heads on all 3 (12.5%).

I share the sentiment - However, to be fair, he *did* write "hard core into drugs", not "into hard core drugs". If sharing the coffee included an exhaustive portfolio of the different roasts and blends, the main driving plot point being the acqusition of said coffee, the coffee pot being a visual genital metaphor, exploration of the invigorating effects of coffee on the psyche, and consuming the coffee itself being the driver of character development, then yes, I think "hard core into coffee" is, while maybe hyperbole, not an entirely unreasonable description.
