I think dark colors are better for the backgrounds. When you try to highlight the text, it goes too bright specially in the bolded parts. You sure you didn't use any gradient effects on the text?
It's all personal preferences, but you really should avoid effects in long texts. The other pic, which is the biggest eyesore I managed to create, shows that; Too much effects in a small font is not recommended.

On a related note, I wanna do some JOIs but damn every time I try to write something I end up hating it and scrapping it to oblivion.

Zidane said that he can only do ONE request every two weeks.
I'm thinking to make this thread JOEs entirely, and maybe writers can work on requests from the previous thread - because when people come here, and they see the requests, they don't like it and look away.
I know I'm being rather strict but I feel that if the writers are not going to quit then I think it's better not for them to see spam after working hard on something and getting almost no feedback. It's very disheartening. Could people please follow the rules?

I feel bad for poor zidanes; He's got a lot on his plate right now!
The first JOE thread was pretty great-- there were lots of contributors and even anonymous writers shared their works!
I got pretty sad when people started leaving because of the abysmal amount of requests :[
Ideally, this would be a thread where writers, whether they think they're good or not, shared their JOE's and made stories for us all to enjoy instead of feeling obligated to take on requests!
I'd love to see more people just try and write for themselves and share their stuff, it'd be really neat to see all the varied writing styles!

Because of this, I kindly ask that nobody sends requests here anymore.
If we ever feel like doing requests, there is plenty for us to do in the previous threads (provided they don't get nuked).

Everyone, this thread was made FOR writers, BY writers. The intention was to exchange stories between ourselves, which we will be doing soon.
I don't take requests anymore because I feel like its a chore. I'm only doing JOEs that are voted on my Twitter, or for writers and friends that I know who ask me to do one. Zidanes doesn't do requests barely as often anymore because his life has gotten busy and he's very burnt out. Monika only wants to do stuff that looks good. (Which is to say, thicc booties).

So, really, none of you have a chance to get your requests accepted. Which means that more writers are needed! But what's the point that as soon as they finish work on one story, they should work on several more because people tell them to? it's overwhelming and the finished work is barely acknowledged.

No, we writers should all be doing this for fun and that's what I want to bring back!

Every time I visit these threads and read through them, I get genuinely shocked at how these JOI writers can actually put up with this shit.
It literally looks like it's just one person with really bad English and grammar typing all of these responses and requests, it's ridiculous. Going through the request thread, some of that stuff is barely understandable and I can imagine how much worse it is for the actual writers.
I was even thinking of asking for something myself, but seeing as it's already difficult enough with these other.. really dumb anons, I'm just gonna save it and hope you writers have what it takes not to go insane with them and continue writing quality stuff.

Hello everybody.
I'm back now.

Since 21/06/18, I was admitted into hospital due to severe pain in my abdomen. After a large scale operation, I am left with nothing but a scar. It could've been much worse, so I am thankful that I am able to walk, eat, and do daily things as I have always done. I have left with no crippling injuries, it will just take me 4-6 months for the scar and my insides to properly heal.
So I would like to thank you all for waiting patiently on my return.
I have some paid commissions to work on first.

I've already picked a request that interested me and I'm working on it. While I love incest stories, most of the incest related requests feel so...similar.

When I start to imagine the scenario I have the annoying feeling of "I've done this already."

As I recall correctly, this board is solely for creativity individual who capeable of making their own story and is not in any way should belong to those who keep asking requests, is it not?

Perhaps I do not know that a certain statement have been made in which stated that requests will now be acceptable?

Sooner or later, may I add, this thread will enventually become a disaster somewhat similar to the second thread, and the end of the first thread lifespan. I wonder wether or not we could change this? May I suggest us doing something? I would like to hear your gentlements opinions as it would help me somewhat understand the situation here.

The main issue with some people making requests is the perfect example of the old saying "give someone an inch and they'll take a mile"

Some people post a request and they can't accept that, when ignored, it's either because:
1)Not interested
2)don't have time to write it
3)may do it in the future, but won't do it right now because the writer liked another request more.

And there are some jackasses who constantly BUMP their requests thinking that we're blind. hell, it's even worse when they DELETE their original request to pretend that "it's a new request" thinking that we're too dumb to notice it.

I don't have much of an issue with requests, but every time I post something I recieve several more and I can never get "Up to date" with them and there are a few active writers here.

People need to understand that making JOIs/JOEs is just a fun thing for us. We want to see the neat ideas people can come up with and try develop them into fap materials. However, JOIs/JOEs are requests done voluntarily. They aren't commisions. We aren't under any obligation to do any particular request. I'm sorry for sounding harsh, but people need to understand this.

Regarding the requests being posted here, I don't think people will ever learn how to read. Everytime that certain requester gets accused, he defends himself, and doesn't admit. Well that's why I've mostly given up doing JOEs, except only for 2 per month and random trades. To be honest I was on the verge of giving up until you guys and Zidanes chipped in.

I've already talked to one of the writers about how things are going around here, and I gotta say that 2 things are very impressive to me, regarding this whole thread:

1 - The patience that the writers have, and their willingness to proceed while people are blatantly ignoring their rules (and backpedaling when they're caught).

2 - The amount of BS you guys throw at the writers. While not all of you are guilty of this, some of you are really taking advantage of their kindness and acting like your idea HAS to be done (typically deleting and re-posting them if they aren't chosen within a day or two, which is absurd)

Honestly guys, there's a lot of people asking for these things, and the writers are only able to handle so much in a given amount of time. You can't post an idea, begging for it to be chosen, and then decide that they ignored it because they didn't finish it after a day. That's ridiculous.

You know what would be efficient? If each person who made a request just put their request on the thread...and left shit alone until it gets done. If it isn't chosen, then pick a new request that might seem more interesting, don't keep hounding them for the same one.

What these people are doing is completely awesome, they're taking time out of their lives to do something for you guys because they enjoy writing and showing their creativity with your ideas...Some of you guys are showing just how little you care about their personal time and just want to get your rocks off.
Count your blessings, cuz one day, these writers will be gone. Maybe some will take their place, but you better start showing some more appreciation for what they do. They're cool people who're doing it just to make you all happy. =\

I'm glad I could help a few of the writers feel even a little more appreciated around here. You guys go through a lot, and I just wanted to let you know that there are people outside of the thread that can see it and do care.

To the people making requests, please show a little more patience and understanding, and if your request isn't chosen...try not to take personal offense. It's the nature of requests, some are chosen, some are not. Leave it at that. Until you're willing to pay the writers to do the work, they have no obligation to choose your request. If you can't afford a commission, then either start saving or come to terms that it's a hit or miss world. :P

There's absolutely no reason your post couldn't have said "I agree, Feldsmith is great, I look forward to seeing more!" without trying to bash on others.
As I said, they have lives, and they also don't appreciate when people in these threads act like entitled asshats. This type of behavior is what leads to writers leaving. Now, onto the announcement.
Recently, I have been a very busy wolf and it's starting to negatively affect my mental health.
In addition to doing JOEs, I have also been doing story commissions and those take a lot more effort and imagination than what is required for JOEs. You see, making JOEs is a simple thing - and that's why I was happy to accept many requests for free in the past. It had been getting very busy though, and that's why I started charging for them. The thing is, I've barely made time to do what I want to do - that is, working on my next game and working with some VN developers. Hell, I don't even have the energy to do what I want to do sometimes. So I am making an effort to lighten my workload.

Starting October 2018, you will no longer be able to request me for JOEs and I will quit completely from doing them. Now, this thread doesn't help me either. It's just full of entitled people and I'm sorry to say - but that's part of the reason why I'm quitting. I would like to thank everybody who cares about these, though - because I know you're there. It's a shame, but I get way more satisfaction, recognition, and feedback from doing my written stories. But I want you to know, that this journey was worth it.

Regarding Feldsmith, I have not seen much of him but I assume he's on a indefinite hiatus. He does work full time after all. As for Ban Bang, he is alive and well but I doubt he will be continuing JOEs.
