I seriously doubt that. I watched all of season 1 and season 2 up to the recent episode and let me tell you, it was extremely painful to watch. Basically its reverse roles with some of the female characters acting as a male "dike" however... as a furry, I didn't give a flying fuck at the human/elf like characters and their sexual interests; I was here for the so called "Rogelio" character and in all those episodes; this lizard "dude" apparently had very few cameo appearances with the human boy and the lizard never ever... spoke once.

Also if you go back, the "grunts" of disapproval or "getting hurt" during the attacks changed from female to male sounds however... its debatable because the way how its set up its like the major controversies of debate if "Tweety" from loony toons is male or female. Further more... there was some negative reviews towards this show that there was too much "female empowerment" and "belittlement" towards males that they were threatened to be shut down by their male audience.

The magical unicorn with the "Drag queen" like appearance and personality was a huge let down and the bad on-purpose jokes was not helping it. On top of that, any time a male made an appearance on scene they were depicted as weak or stupid as the stereotypical type accusation of "all brawn but no brains". Too make things worse... the "colored" kid's back story was revealed and suddenly Male pregnancy was acknowledge to be a thing in this world unless the writers messed that up to and the other father is a "Trans gender".

So the fact that suddenly in season 2 that they had to make a bunch changes to acknowledge the male gay community, still depicted males as a weak link, and... blames writers for the miscommunication reveals that the lizard was indeed "female" at the beginning.

Plus... if the lizard was meant male all along, then they would had notice that the sound effects used by this character were "female" sounds and not male and you are telling me for a "polish" check before it goes live; that the people in charge didn't notice this? Bull shit!
