I wanna dig into this some.

So apparently a connection to a realm is necessary to perform that realm's magic.

Additionally - assuming the symbols on the realms do relate to the realms - you have to have a connection to the coil to practice Vitrin magic, but being associated with the coil is essentially being stuck in The Bad Place.

So what can the distinguished furry porn consumer who reads too much into things conclude from this?

One argument is that Vitrin magic is a consequence/side effect of people trying to escape the coil, if you manage to uncreate yourself you can escape your bad decisions.

Another is that the Path is vaguely Buddhist and everyone is essentially on the coil until they achieve the equivalent of nirvana, and the power of escaping the coil manifests as Vitrin magic.

Id say if anything this is a good first session for endurance training, as the main point of the first sessions should be to get a feeling for what level the person training is at currently so that you can then dial into the right level to train and improve.

I do see the mentality a lot with people setting a limit you cant reach and then just pushing them-self towards it, but that's not really a good way to do training and not the best way to improve. You really want to aim just at and above the level you are currently to press yourself further and further, setting the bar too high and slamming yourself into a wall over and over again trying to reach it is not a good way to train but a lot of people seem to think it is.

And with the earlier dialog and Fen jumping the gun making more copies than was planned i do feel like the lady was planing on starting soft and ramping it up after getting a feel of what fens level is at currently.

As for the population, in the chapter that detailed the first apocalypse, he said that the people that were backed up in PATH had implants, maybe not everyone was equipped yet at the end, and this dialogue makes it clear the hosts are contained and sentient at the PATH.
Looks like with the world having an end that the planet got wrecked, looks like they are down to working with a chunk and tech keeping gravity and atmosphere in place.

This is really a cool story, really good escalation from where we started to now.

If we're taking a hard perspective to this, they shouldn't be seeing those stars disappearing for another two million years at least. The Andromeda galaxy is 2.5 Mly away, and if Hadalen's griping on 6-79 is any indication, they've been reconstructing for a measly two hundred thousand years.

Even if they can see those galaxies in realtime, FVD would take a couple million years to reach them, which is enough time to start moving the whole solar system (which would never be a permanent solution) or to invent faster-than-light travel if they hadn't already and just bail on everything.

You could maybe map a galaxy's expansion movement from redshift, but the most that lets you do is confirm your expansion measurement over 200k years (which would be really cool).
If you know where it's going to be at year zero, and you watch it until year 200k, the most you'll see is 200k years of the millions of years of light between the galaxy and you. If something happened to that galaxy, you wouldn't see a deviation from your prediction until that light got to you.

Are i'm the only one who is starting to have serious issues with Fen as character these last chapters? Feels like She has started to become extremely Mary Sueish.

She is literally the chosen one born from what is essentially a god, an extremely tragic backstory that never seems to affect her except when the plot needs her to. She keeps getting more "powerful" despite having nothing that actually justifies her becoming more "powerful". She has grown extremely arrogant yet everyone seems to love her and she has seemingly no character flaws (and in the immortal words of Red, loving your friends to much is not a character flaw).

Maybe I'm confused about why everyone else is confused, but wasn't there a pretty clear montage of sorts?

Like, I know there wasn't any clear period of time given, but there were a ton of pages showing Fen going through strength and combat training, as well as hanging out with Lars. Since the whole almost murdering Vix thing, it's felt like there was a whole bunch of intervening events, and even a couple of transition pages showing Vix in earlier stages of pregnancy. I kind of got the feeling that it was all meant to show a decent passage of time.
