Eh, on further examination, Chloe is still visibly nervous, so there probably wouldn't be a better time to bring it up. It would *need* to be addressed at some point if she would be employed there, or she'd continue to be a nervous wreck. Everybody knows the thing. So now everybody knows that everybody knows, and it can come to a mature resolution. Obviously they don't care that Chloe knows (or at least Beruca doesn't; Red's just kind of going along with her). So either Chloe can take the job and keep things professional, or she just can't handle it and finds work elsewhere. Nobody's at fault here. It's just an awkward situation that Chloe's attempting to take charge with.
Of course, that's all the reasonable situation. The meta answer is that obviously this is a porn story, so they'll find a way to be comfortable with it and bang together. But I can appreciate that it's being approached in an at least plausibly believable manner, if unusual.
